If I had one piece of advice for anyone it would be to strongly adhere to the power of Manifestation. So, let's talk Manifestation.
Manifestation is real. It's so so real. Like attracts like. You reap what you sow. Karma. There are a million little slang sayings that we've all heard a million times, so why don't we take them to heart? You've probably heard them in the same sentence as "mind your P's and Q's" and "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all"... Adult wisdom being passed down to your childlike ears, maybe not sinking in entirely the first few rounds. But let's give that wisdom a name. It is Manifestation. You ask a question, no, rather you TELL a question to the Universe, to God, to the Earth or the Aina or Buddha or whatever you acknowledge as higher power. It might even be yourself. Because it can be. Because it is. You say what you want. You focus on what you want. You envision it. You call it to your life with such ferocity it has no choice but to come running through the door. People always say you find what you're looking for when you least expect it but I say screw that. You find what you are looking for when you are ready to find what you are looking for. It might be subconscious but you have called it into your life. I have so many stories of manifestation, starting all the way back in my preteens when my sweet mama gifted me "The Secret", great book- give it a read. My favorite most recent story of manifestation though, I will share;
I was momentarily homeless (in the gentlest of sense) living out of my car, scrambling to find a new home. I spent all hours of the day house-hunting and viewing and browsing and calling, etc. It was exhausting. I could have easily fell into the first available place that I didn't necessarily love but hey, it's not a tiny Toyota. No. I knew what I wanted. I knew I wanted a home. A real home. My home. And sure enough I found it. A dreamy little place South South East. South is where I work and attend school. But East holds my heart with some of the most captivating views of the Ko‘olau range and sunrise beaches. It was the perfect middle ground. This tiny little home featured a nice big yard, a mango tree, and an outdoor shower. It was everything I had been manifesting. But, it was leased out of an agency. A big girl house. An adult house. I did not think I would be the one to get it. However, I manifested some more. There was no way the universe could gift me this house and then take it out from under my finger tips. So I meditated on it. I sat, I walked, I did every daily life task while fiercely meditating on my house. By this point, I was already calling it my house. I pictured myself doing things in the house, like sleeping on the floor the first few nights without furniture. I imagined moving in my things, doing the dishes, wheeling out the trash bin, showering outside, sweeping the floor, waking up, falling asleep, using the restroom- EVERYTHING. I imagined my life in this house with such realism. And a few days later I got the call to move in. I cried. It works. Manifestation is so real. There is absolutely no chance that I, a young college student, would have been chosen to live in this adult home in a sleepy little adult neighborhood without the power of manifestation- without the power of believing in myself. Your mind is infinite. We are literally all stardust if we really boil things down. Reduce reduce reduce until you and I are connected with literally everything in our existence. It's magic. And it works. Use the network, use the invisible connection you hold with this planet, use your imagination. Manifestation knows no bounds. It is infinite and so are you.
Tips for starting small;
Okay, so you probably think I am some wack job obsessed with Harry Potter by now, (true). But I'm also certain that you are thinking that if this could work you would be really keen for it, am I right? Of course. So I am going to share with you tips on starting small. Really really really small. We can call this our ilikethewind science experiment! Most people have a hard time remembering their dreams, some even claim to never dream at all. However this is scientifically false, as most people over the age of ten dream four to six times a night during your REM stage of sleep. You're just not remembering them. Which is also common. But we are going to do a Manifestation exercise. I was first introduced to this by my Jr. High English Teacher, (Hi, Mrs. Bulloch! I hope you're reading this!). At the time she didn't introduce this as manifestation, and it wasn't until recently that I connected the dots. She told me that if I wanted to remember my dreams at night, all I had to do was remind myself before I fell asleep. That simple. The trick is believing yourself. You have to believe that your reminder will work. It does. Give it a try the next few nights. You don't run the risk of people thinking you're crazy because it is all done completely in your head! Honestly, your mind is the greatest tool you will ever be given. As humans we only access a small portion of our brains. Why don't we challenge ourselves a little bit more? It may or may not be medically and scientifically impossible for us to ever maximize our brain capacity, but that doesn't mean we can't take silly risk to try. Imagine the first time Newton declared Gravity to be a thing. What? No way, this man is crazy. Be he wasn't in the least. Things must be considered possible until proven otherwise. Manifestation might be a theory, but so was gravity. And doesn't that sound silly, gravity as a theory? Gravity is very very real, obviously. So, go remember your dreams, and then feel free to tell me about them. Hell, tell the world about them. And then tell the world about the power you hold. After all it is your mind. I think you have a say in what it does, don't you?
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
